I was getting ready one morning when Richard headed down for breakfast. There, a man approached him. His wife, who only speaks Spanish, was crying, as the husband explained to Richard that she had seen him in two dreams.
The first dream was back in 2010, when we were first called to Mexico. The woman was pregnant, but did not even have a cradle. In her dream, the woman saw Richard. She recalled he was holding the hand of a little, Mexican boy. He told her he would bring her a cradle. The next day, a cradle was given to her. Approximately two years later, she had a second dream. A pack of dogs was chasing her and her children. Richard stepped in and saved her and her kids.
The woman had never met Richard, but when she saw him that morning at breakfast, she recognized him immediately from her dreams. He was a Godsend—without ever having met! Her husband, who is bilingual, explained all of this to Richard and those around him.
It was a wonderful confirmation of God’s call on our lives. It is also a great reminder of ‘praying above our heads.’ We can not begin to understand what God has in mind. We are but an ant in a whirlwind, a grain of sand on one of Cabo’s vast beaches… If we are faithful to pray as God leads and leave the rest—including our understanding—to Him, He will be faithful to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ask or think. He is awesome! I encourage you—pray as He leads and see what He will do.
God is good—and he is working on our behalf and the behalf of others, even when we are unaware!
