Richard went down to Tierra Libertad two days after the hurricane. The small storage shed and the entire roof structure, along with all of the materials, were gone. If you look closely in the pictures, you can see two broken cement pads remaining, which made up the rough floor of the old shed.
Even with the loss of storage and shelter, the feeding program has resumed. In fact, there were sixty mothers who recently attended the program, along with at least as many children. Tony and Lupe Hernandez, who are on staff with Cabo English Church and run the feeding stations, also had around fifteen guest helpers for the day. Believe me, that Tuesday was definitely an exciting time in this very depressed area! The people are witnessing God’s love now more than ever!
