We were able to visit two of the churches they have helped. We visited with Pastor Carlos, as well as with Pastor Miguel. Pastor Miguel’s church is one of the church plants from Pastor Carlos’ church. Pastor Carlos is currently working on acquiring the property for a third church. All of these churches serve a very impoverished area—some in the squatter town area, all in extreme proverty.
Pastor Miguel’s church was recently hit by some severe weather. The results were catastrophic. The rebuilding has begun, though, and the church is continuing to grow as people continue to pitch in and rebuild.
Pastor Carlos’ church also benefited from some recent construction. Over the summer, cement floors were poured. The uneven, dirt floors were replaced with cement and the wooden stage was replaced with a cement foundation. The church continues to grow leaps and bounds! Even the mid-week service is well attended—so well attended they had to split into two mid-week services—one on Wednesday and one on Friday. It is common place for there to be standing room only! The people need hope. It is such a miracle for them to meet God and have hope and a reason for living! They can’t wait to be in church, to be ministered to—and they are bringing their family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else they can grab on the way in!
Keith and Diane were also able to visit a couple of the building projects we have been working on. They were able to see the squatter towns first-hand and to see what God can do—one project, one life at a time.
If you are interested in supporting New Life Outreach or this work in Mexico, we encourage you to contact us via e-mail or at our home office (information shown below). We are working on getting on-line donations up and running and hope to have the system up soon.
Thank you to all those who continue to love, support, and pray for us!
